Ilet PINEL
The charming îlet Pinel (Pinel Islet) in the french section of the St Martin island, West Indies. It is a little paradise very much appreciated by tourists.
Located on the north-eastern point of Saint Martin, it faces the island of Tintamarre and was named after a famous local buccaneer. Indeed it is on a very close reef named Rock Pinel, north of the îlet Pinel, that Captain Pinel’s ship was wrecked in 1689 (1).
